Taking on New Adventures

When in NOLA, one goes to jazzfest both weekends. Today, Noelle, Shona and I hit the streetcar and did a day of festing. Last show was Bruce Springsteen then ended with dinner at Lucy’s and drinks with my neighbors. Awesome day!

I’ve been fortunate to have a solid group of friends from my early CNN days. Tonight, one of the best is in town as Noelle is taking a weekend in the big easy.

Getting some cleaning done before Noelle arrives tomorrow.  So excited for one of my “people” to visit!

Got to have a celebration lunch today with my aunt. Today marks 6 months since her life changing surgery. She’s doing really well right now.

Massive dark clouds all day but no storms. And a somewhat nice end to today, exactly 6 months after moving to NOLA.

So I did what most people moving to NOLA have done: put on some weight. Now is the time to get it off 3 down, 12 or more to go! With the help of T25. Week 1 is in the books and today started week 2. Was able to do it during an early evening…

Last minute ticket to Jazzfest? Why, yes! Laurie hooked me up.  We saw Rebirth, Galactic, Tab Benoit and Eric Clapton.  Awesome Sunday indeed

Bike ride, swimming at the pool, rose outside at Bacchanal and dinner at Baru. Awesome day. Then I get home and saw these great new flowers in our lobby.  To say I’m loving Spring is an understatement.

I love fresh flowers and everytime I hit the grocery, I check out the flower section. Today, I found these. They just brighten up the apartment and smell good. And they make me smile.

The city has been working on my street since the 2nd week in March. To say it’s been annoying is an understatement.
