Taking on New Adventures

Today was New Orleans’ version of the running of the bulls. I went to jog around the neighborhood and happened upon a party.  At 10am. Another thing to love about this city.

I started the day with a deep tissue massage, hit the pool, swam some laps and headed across the lake for dinner. It was a great day.

Worked and then hit my new fave wine bar afterwards, which always reminds me of my NY gang.  So today’s pic is a throw back to a few weeks ago when Amy was in NOLA for a visit. 

Not gonna lie, I’m exhausted. Waking up was a struggle and getting to the office on time was a chore but I did it.

After a longer than normal day and dinner with Shona, I hit the online shopping to find a dress for Al’s wedding. Formal it is.  Yikes!  I hope I can find something fabulous.

Got my tasks all laid out on my whiteboard. Work is different than what I’ve done in the past. And it’s good.

Living in New Orleans provides me the chance to see my family more.  Today concluded an end to a great weekend with the boys.  

I won’t get to see the nephew on his birthday, so we celebrated today. This almost 6 year old is a bit goofy.

Was able to spend some time with my cousin, Sarah, today. She and her family are in town from Egypt and it was great meeting her kids. Great 4th of July.

A day of work then a drive to see the family for the 4th.
