Taking on New Adventures

Our April trip took us back to New Orleans for what has become my favorite festival of all: Hogs for the Cause. This event was one of the first ones I got involved in after I moved to the city in late 2013, participating in 2014. And I grew to love it when I joined the only all ladies team of Sweet Swine O’Mine in 2015.

Each year, I’ve been able to contribute a little more of my time and my money. And this year, even living further away in Atlanta, I took back over the social media with the help of Bunkie (IYKYK) and we managed to not only increase our views but also help the team raise over $50k. That’s the most this team has ever raised and we are so proud.

Being back in New Orleans was fun, even though the only people I saw were at the festival. But it is one of the ones I don’t want to miss and will make it a point to try and participate in as many times as I possibly can.
