It’s been a long year and Chuck and I haven’t had a chance to take off work and take a proper vacation. So we have done a few weekends along the coast instead. This past weekend, we had the chance to stay at The White House hotel in Biloxi and it was exactly what we needed to relax.
The hotel is beautiful and historic. The pool is amazing, even though the bartender didn’t show up on Saturday and we had to run inside to grab cocktails. But sitting under the sun shades and reading a book is what the doctor ordered to get me out of my summer funk (long story but no vacation is the culprit).
We had some great walks and amazing food, both at the hotel and at other places in town. And although he got a stomach bug while there, we were able to sleep and relax, which was the main reason for going.
We could not have asked for a more beautiful weekend at an awesome location.
