Day 119: Rani Gras
Mardi Gras day equaled cold and rain. Where was all the nice weather that we had all weekend? Whatever. Still got doodied up and hit the Marigny and Quarter with Rani, aka Dolly. Not a bad day at all! Happy Mardi Gras!

Day 118: Best parade of the weekend!
I’ve long loved Orpheus, the parade started by Harry Connick, Jr. And tonight reaffirmed that love. 39 degrees and the riders were in great spirits while the specialty groups were in awesome form. No pic of me dancing with the 610 Stompers but this gem is from one of the true NOLA groups you’ll see…

Day 117: Sunday Gras
4 parades and I’m pooped! But a fun day all around and got to spend time with Justin, my cousin, Nicole and their kids before heading home for Bacchus.

Day 116: More parades
The fam came over today. Uncle Mark and I enjoyed Iris as did Wanda, Jordan and Jacob. I then saw Tucks and the 1st part of Endymion. Gotta rest up for another long day tomorrow.

Day 115: Friday Gras
Solo’d it through 3 parades tonight. This weekend may kill me but it’s a blast!

Day 114: Muses
Flew back home this morning then headed to Marcie and Brian’s place uptown to watch Muses. A little chilly but a great start to what will be a very long weekend.

Day 113: Avenues
After a long day of work, had an event at Avenues. Natalia and Sophia were great, as were the rest of the kids in the group.

Day 112: More NYC
More walking, and working. But got to see my friends, Amy and Kim, tonight. Beforehand, walked past Lincoln center. I always find this place mesmerizing.

Day 111: Empire mindset
After working in several coffee shops thanks to shady internet service, I went to the Avenues school to talk to the kids. Then walked to Penn Station to head back uptown. Had to “tourist” it with a photo.

Day 110: Double D
Went for a jog in the park then met up with Jenny for brunch. Afterwards, I went to Ricky’s to buy a wig for Mardi Gras. Ended my night with an awesome dinner with Darcy and Don. Great NY weekend and perfect ending.
