Day 185: Floods
Monsoon happened tonight. I’ve heard about the crazy flash floods I’m New Orleans but only sort of experienced them. ..until tonight. Day 183: Pool work
Some days, you just need to sit in the sun, listen to Justin Timberlake and respond to work emails. Cue today.

Day 182: Boring
Workout, bike to work, work, bike home, and relax. Boring day, yes, but soooo necessary.

Day 181: Recovery
2 days of Jazz Fest was a little much. Noelle was still in town today so I took a break from work to hit up lunch in the Quarter. Fortunately, that’s the first trip in the Q this weekend. It was great having Noelle here and we had a blast!!

Day 180: Last minute
Somehow, we scored free tickets to the fest. So we definitely had to go. It was a great day with awesome music and tons of laughs.

Day 179: Festin
When in NOLA, one goes to jazzfest both weekends. Today, Noelle, Shona and I hit the streetcar and did a day of festing. Last show was Bruce Springsteen then ended with dinner at Lucy’s and drinks with my neighbors. Awesome day!

I’ve been fortunate to have a solid group of friends from my early CNN days. Tonight, one of the best is in town as Noelle is taking a weekend in the big easy.

Getting some cleaning done before Noelle arrives tomorrow. So excited for one of my “people” to visit!

Day 176: Celebrate
Got to have a celebration lunch today with my aunt. Today marks 6 months since her life changing surgery. She’s doing really well right now.
