Day 29: It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Finally. I have a (crooked) tree. 1st time in 9 years. It’s a little light in the ornament count so that will be fixed in the coming weeks. But it’s my very own sappy tree!

Day 28: I’m officially a Louisiana driver
45 minutes at the DMV, which I’m told is like a record time here, $21.50, plus 2 crazy Yats in front of me….. and I officially have my license. It was quite an experience and I hope someone writes a book about the people at the New Orleans DMV one day. Better yet, a reality…

Day 27: Monday workday
Long day at work so decided to hang out with Byron after everyone left. We’ve never met so it was nice to have some chat time. Not a bad Monday at all.

Day 26: Time to leave Mississippi
Hit church this morning then a quick lunch with the fam before driving back to New Orleans. The nephews are planning their trip here in a couple of weeks.

Day 25: Smiling..even though Bama lost
Tough day as Bama lost. So chillaxing with Jackson while he plays on my iPad and I watch the night games.
-
Day 23: Turkey & football
Spent the day with family eating all the goodies. The menfolk went to the Ole Miss game and I stayed back to watch it on tv and hit the stores late for the Black Friday sales with Mom and Maurie.
-
Day 22: Bowling with the boys
Spent the day with the nephews. They wanted to bowl, so I took them. I lost. To an 11 & 5 year old. Bowling isn’t my game.

Day 21: Pre-Thanksgiving bloodies
My friend, Kelly, came to visit on her cross country trip so I took her to the Erin Rose for a post-lunch bloody mary. Not a bad way to spend an hour.
