Kay Jones Davis
Communications professional, television producer, social media maven, event planner
Welcome to my website! I’m an Atlanta resident, having moved from New Orleans in mid-2025 after 11 1/2 years there. I grew up in Memphis and the North Mississippi suburb of Southaven. I graduated from Northwest Mississippi Community College in Senatobia, MS, and the University of Alabama, majoring in broadcasting at both schools. After a short career in local news in Memphis post-graduation, I made my way to Atlanta to work for CNN. A 14-year career there saw me spend 6 in Atlanta and 8 in New York City. I made the difficult decision to step away and try new challenges in 2013 when I moved to New Orleans to work for Dinner Lab, a startup that was just taking off. My career has also taken me to the world of corporate communications at Entergy and in conference and event planning at ARB Meetings and Events. 2020 brought me an opportunity that allowed me to continue my love of news as a freelance producer for CNN and the NFL Network while I worked with the C5 Collective on events and discussions that elevate women and also build my personal consulting business. In 2021, I took in an added challenge of change management in the technology communications group at UMG that turned into a full time job at the start of 2022 handling communications and training across the global company. I still work with the NFL Network when they call, and have been able to cover both the Saints and the Super Bowl featuring the Eagles and Chiefs that occurred in New Orleans in 2025.
I am blessed to be able to choose the projects I am passionate about while expanding my world of knowledge and travel.
