Say Yes to a Concert at The Sphere

After what seems like forever in planning, we finally made it to a concert at The Sphere. Although we had been there before for the Postcard from Earth film, we had not been lucky enough to score reasonably-priced tickets (if they actually ever existed) to a show we wanted to see there.

But finally, I waited in the extremely long queue earlier this year for The Eagles and got us tickets to see them on September 5th. So we hopped a plane, checked into our room, got moved to another room due to some flooding, which is a story for another time, and got settled in for the weekend of fun centered around the concert.

First off, getting into the venue is fairly simple. Signage in The Venetian is robust, and there are tons of people available to help guide you to The Sphere’s entrance. Thanks to the emails prior to the concert, we knew what we could and couldn’t bring in (which was, to be honest, pretty standard for US concert venues) so we breezed through security after scanning our ticket, and made our way into the venue.

We were there earlier than needed, but since it was a sold out show, didn’t want to chance being stuck in a long security line. So we made our way to one of the many merchandise lines and got Chuck a shirt then hit up one of the bars for a drink before finding our way to our seat.

We knew we had a limited view seat, but weren’t sure what that truly entailed. Overall, the only thing we couldn’t see was the very top of the video screen. And while we definitely missed some of that during the show, we saw the band clearly and really didn’t miss too much of the video/graphic experience.

The audio experience in The Sphere is 💯.  Seriously one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to from an audio perspective. And the graphics and video were absolutely top level. I’m a geek for that kind of stuff, especially given my background, so paid close atttention to it. There were a few hiccups from my perspective, but it was the first show back after a few months off and I know they were trying a few new things. So hopefully they get those small glitches fixed for the upcoming shows.

Overall, I don’t think it matters who you see at this venue. The experience is unlike any other place you’ll see a show. I don’t think you’ll regret seeing a concert here. I know we didn’t and look forward to seeing another one soon! Now to check out the schedule for 2026!
