New Year, So Many Changes

It’s been a while since I’ve blogged. Quite frankly, the reasons vary but mostly it was lack of inspiration combined with laziness on my part.

Overall, the past 2 years have been a bit of a blur. Not necessarily in a good way. Between Covid restrictions consistently changing to job requirements, Chuck and I did our best to try and live as much of a “normal” life as possible. It wasn’t always easy, but it definitely was interesting.

This past weekend, we celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary. We also celebrated a 3-day weekend with no work obligations for the first time and what seems like forever. It was a quiet weekend with a lot of adventures and laughs. It was exactly what we needed.

The year started off with a bang as my family was in town for the Sugar Bowl. Then I started my new role at Universal Music Group in the IT department. It was a job that somewhat came out of the blue and was too good to pass up.

A new year brings a lot of promise and with the new job, I am working on creating new and more sustainable habits. From making an effort to eat a little healthier to giving myself a break when I don’t to creating a more sustainable workout regime, I am all about creating a lifestyle that will be more enjoyable overall.

So as Chuck and I move into year 6 of marriage, we also are in a year of newness with my job and some new tasks for his. May 2022 be much better than the past 2 years especially and also give us challenges we can face head on and accomplishments that we can be proud of.
