High above the clouds, ready to explore the world

Planning out What’s Next

I’m done. I’m so over sitting at home and not thinking ahead. I’m a spontaneous planner. What do I mean by that? I like to plan out my experiences while still being open to trying things out on the fly.

For instance, I like to plan that I’m going somewhere, say the beach, over a particular period of time. I have the ideas of what I want to do, where I want to eat, what places I want to check out but then I don’t make a plan as to when I do those things. I just kind of let it flow. And often I end up going places or doing things I never even thought of.

But due to the pandemic, I’ve not planned out my travels for the rest of the year… until now! Obviously I’m aware that things will most certainly change, but I can’t sit idly by and not think about getting out and exploring again.

Earlier this pandemic, I started putting together a list of places I wanted to go. I had my “been there, want to go again” list and my “definitely must go” list and my “bucket” travel list. My bucket list are places that I just cannot afford or are just dream trips. I hope that at least one works out.

Enter Thursday when the NFL released the 2020 season schedule. I saw Vegas on the Saints schedule and since it’s always on my “been there, want to go again” list, I sprung into action. I texted some friends and started booking away. Vegas, week 2 of the NFL season, here we come!

I don’t have game tickets…. yet…. but I have our hotel room and flight. But the best part? I now have something to look forward to!

So what’s next? I don’t know for sure. But for now, I’ll look forward to that September weekend when my friends and I hit Vegas to watch some football, eat some good food and explore parts of the city I’ve not seen yet while checking out my favorites.

Chandelier Bar at the Cosmo… we go here every trip!
