This past weekend, I made the trek up I-55 along with my cousin’s wife, Nicole, and their daughter, Bess, for the wedding shower for my cousin, Mary. We had a great time hanging out with my family and the adults got a kick out of the kids.
From Friday night eating Corky’s BBQ (so so good) to Saturday’s brunch shower with all the great brunch food, we definitely fed our bellies while enjoying the company of family.
The best part was watching my 5 year old cousin with Down Syndrome swim and play pool basketball. Miles had a blast and definitely needs to spend more time in the pool. He is a natural.
So now, I’m in recovery from a weekend that was jam packed of food, family and fun. And planning the trip up there in a few weeks for my cousin’s wedding.
Now back to my regularly scheduled life in NOLA.
