It’s been quite the year. So many ups and downs made 2018 what it is. And while the ups were really good, the downs were awful and I’m ready to take on 2019 with gusto and hopefully have a much better year.
Starting a new job is scary but I managed to change careers (again!) in January. I now work with some really awesome women planning conferences and meetings across the country. It’s been a great change and has given me a lot of energy. I’m not going to lie and say it’s easy, but I enjoy the challenges and even with some of the early stresses that happened, I managed to find a way to make things work and turn out great for our clients. It’s still a learning experience and I anticipate a lot more challenges and successes in 2019.
Chuck and I got to do some travel but due to some issues with getting his passport, still haven’t traveled out of the country. I was able to go to Mexico for work and got to explore and learn about a part of the country I never would’ve been able to go to before! And we did 2 trips to Vegas, checking out new restaurants along the way.
The worst possible thing happened in 2018 when my Aunt Wanda died in October. She was my friend and my family and I miss calling her with stupid stories seeking her advice on things. I hate cancer and hope that one day very soon, they find a cure for this awful disease!
I am looking forward to what 2019 has to offer. I have plans and I have ideas that I really want to make happen this year.
So cheers to the New Year and may your year bring you everything you want and deserve!
