As much as I enjoy living in New Orleans, getting away for a few days is never a bad thing. After months of the grind, Chuck and I are finally able to take a short vacation. It’s not our official honeymoon, but at least there is sun and a beach. And while this morning found Chuck doing work calls from the hotel, I was able to take a short walk along the boardwalk and check out the sites of Ft Lauderdale Beach.
One of my favorite things about traveling is the ability to immerse myself in the local scene. And while our time in Ft Lauderdale was short, I made a point of not only walking along the beach, but checking out the various shops and cafes nearby.
The best thing I did to start this long weekend beach Vacation? Breathe. Just breathe.
Now time to turn off the phone and relax.
