Married life is different, yet it’s not. There’s a realization that everything I do now is 100% tied to Chuck. And while in my heart it has been like that for a long time, this new reality is sinking in. No longer can I make a decision and just tell him later. He’s part of the process now.
However, the parts that aren’t different? Our weekends of fun. We still go to the various festivals in town (King Cake this past Sunday). We still do long walks in the neighborhood over the weekend. We still do epic long Costco runs for things we didn’t know we needed. And we still do the Pelicans games.
The first game post-wedding saw the Pelicans lose (sadly) but I got a picture with the creepy King Cake Baby mascot. So it wasn’t a total loss for us. Ha!
But all in all, we are enjoying married life and the next steps for us are planning our honeymoon while buying furniture and really making the apartment one we both contributed to.
