Taking on New Adventures

If you read everything on the wedding blogs, you’d think being engaged is one big amazing event. I’m here to tell you one thing:  They lie! 

Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m enjoying our engagement. It’s been 4 1/2 months and I’m happier than ever. But fun? More like another day, week, month in our lives.

You see, Chuck and I have a pretty awesome life here in New Orleans. We enjoy the festivals, great restaurants and bars, impromptu days and nights out and everything in between. But is being engaged any different than before? Other than more conversations centered around one event, “the wedding”, no. 

Hopefully some fun will be had at our engagement party this weekend. So far, it’s been more stress than fun. But I’m hoping that changes soon. 

So bring on the fun! After almost half a year of being engaged, it’s time!
